I was amazed how three-year-old twin Christian and Steven remember the places where I used to take them seven months ago when I last visited them.
After fetching them from the nursery school this afternoon, we went to buy ice cream. And as we walked out of the supermarket, Steven hold my hand pulling me to the bench where we used to sit while having our ice cream. Very clever boy, he was only two years old when we frequent that place. Windy and cold, we could not stop on the bench to have our ice cream so we went on walking. Upon reaching a curb close to the municipal hall, some meters away from their place, the twin stopped and pointed to the bench at a corner. It was the spot where I took them to play during sunny afternoon. Steven did not budge this time. He stopped and stubbornly said we eat ice cream here. I have to carry hiim so we could go home. Gail, their mom, related that one time, the boys were nagging her to go the church, opposite the muncipal hall, where I also took them. Clever boys, at their young age, they have retentive memories. I hope they continue to have keen memories. People nowadays are either of short memory or of no memories at all. Some deliberately forget events, especially those that have negative effects to others while there are those who play forgetful as an excuse.
