The long day was tiring
Emotionally draining Physically strained Mentally she’s ingrained. Curled in her bed Alone, she’s weeping Looking for comfort To nowhere it’s not present In silence she finds solace But its muted sound becomes intense Deafens her senses Stuns her nerves Drenched in tears In stillness she drowns The ascending silence To slumber she sends.

You fill the void
You meet the needs The gap you bridge The depth you reach. The darkness you brighten The sullen you elate The yearning you douse The boredom you enthuse. The chain you have broken The wings you spread The hopes you let fly The dreams you let lose. Imagined or not For real or surreal Your presence makes difference My gratitude goes to YOU. |
