Like flashing flood it rushed on me
drenched, buried and crushed me Thorns keep ripping on my feet sending pain all over me.. Hope the storm dies down and a strong wind blow me to solitude and serenity.... and brush off the shreds; the water that blinds me.. Streams are flowing in my face I want to shout yet no words come out My heart is bursting in my defiant chest Hardened and hurt, there's no way out. Pain pours like rain saturating me leaving me limply and soggy can't wait for the sun to shine and drain the sap that flows on me...

God’s greatest gift to mankind
Who nurtured, bred and borne us She’s there on guard to watch Our every step and raise us. Her caring arms, our refuge Her loving touch, our cure Her soothing words, our comfort She is our fortress; sturdy and tall. Always attentive, ready to help Her life revolves around us Forgets herself, devotes her time Her heart and mind, focused on us. A citadel of love and care A fountain of faith and flair A source of unending power Mothers, forever, we will endear. by Nicholas Brown
Lost horizons in my head As I’m runnin’ through the fields again I never stop to take a break All my dreams, in God’s sake. Build a world Anew Hope and faith will carry us through Simplicity, the new global trend But to that I’ll make Amends. The people strive to stay alive Though justified in their own eyes In their Greed they've already Died If you heed (this) His word the mind will survive. (The poem is Nicholas' first composition, a young guy who, after visiting my website, requested if I could post his writing... A good piece for a beginner, looking forward to see more of his compositions here) |
