Awake at night Gazing at the moon Waiting for the dawn A promise of new morn. Street lights illuminate The horizon, dark and eerie Stretching, the eyesight searching For something vague and hazy. Chirping birds break the silence The solitude, the night brings Deafening and numbing The pain of longing, intense. Sorrow oozes in the heart The mind heavy with flaws Muscles ache to renew The strength that've been burrow.
