Is there a specific time and period in our children's life that we should stop talking to them? That we no longer have a say on what they should do and how they should do things? Motherhood is the fulfilment of a woman, as the saying goes, but does motherhood stop as the children grow up and become independent? Do mothers become irrelevant? Yes, we become great grandmothers but then, what is next after that? Is it correct to say that as our children grow up, we mothers, while tending to them, should also start "redeveloping" ourselves as independent individuals? Sometimes, I wish my children remain young, but then the joy of seeing them grow as well-rounded individuals...beautiful, vibrant...full of life.... compensates for my being a mom...gh
